Former Immigration deputy D-G found guilty of bribery

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Immigration Department deputy director-general Yusof Abu Bakar was found guilty by the Sessions Court here of 14 bribery charges.

He will be sentenced on Monday.

Sessions Court judge Abu Bakar Katar ruled Thursday that the prosecution had proven the case against Yusof beyond reasonable doubt.

A total of 15 prosecution witnesses testified in the trial, from Feb 20 this year.
